FAQ's for Virtual Drivers Education
What are the requirements for Virtual Driver's Education?​
-All you need is a computer or other mobile device with a Camera and a Microphone.
What Apps will my son or daughter need to use?
-Your student will need to install ZOOM, an online meeting app used commonly for distance learning and virtual conference calls in both the business world and education.
-Students must have access to an email account.
-Students will have to be able to use Google Forms.
-Students should have a word processing application like notibility.
Will these applications cost extra money?
-No, each of these applications are available for free.
Will the classes be the same length of time?
-Yes, students must be visible and participate for the full three hours for each class, with a 15 minute break in the middle.
When can we begin the Behind the wheel portion of the course?
-As soon as the student has their learner's permit, and the State of Maryland has ended the state of emergency and allows for a relaxing of social distancing protocols.
-Will there be tests?
Yes, there will be a test at the end of every classroom session and a Final Exam at the end of the course.
